SWEET CHILI SAUCE

We love a great Asian inspired dish around these parts and want to share this versatile sweet chili sauce (sometimes known as Thai Chili Sauce) with you. 

SWEET CHILI SAUCE || KETO FRIENDLY!

This Asian inspired condiment is great to keep on hand to add a spicy kick to your Asian inspired dishes!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup rice vinegar
  • ½ cup allulose
  • 1 tsp liquid aminos or soy sauce/ soy sauce alternative
  • 1 TBSP Sriracha (more or less to your taste)
  • 1 TBSP minced garlic
  • 1 tsp ground ginger powder
  • ½ tsp red chili pepper flakes (more or less to your taste)
  • ¼ tsp glucomannan (may not need)

Instructions

  • In a small sauce pan, combine all ingredients EXCEPT for glucomannan. Whisk well.
  • Turn on stovetop heat to MEDIUM and allow the ingredients to come to a steady simmer.
  • Reduce the heat to a low simmer. Allow sauce to reduce by ⅓ to ½ the initial volume.
  • If sauce isn't as thick as you'd prefer, add the glucomannan by whisking the sauce vigorously as you sprinkle in the glucomannan.
  • Allow sauce to simmer a few more minutes.
  • Remove from heat and allow to cool. Sauce will thicken as it cools.
  • Store in an air tight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.
